Ask Hydroharrys

Alfonso Grix from Southfield asks: I am having a hard time deciding on which nutrient line to use for my plants. I am a novice grower and I am looking for something easy to use that won't break the bank. What should I be looking for?

Well Alfonso, you have quite a few options. First, it depends on whether or not you are in soil/soil-less mix or hydro. Some lines work better in soil than they do in hydroponics because of their strength and concentration. In terms of ease of use, the Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow and Pure Blend Pro Bloom are your best bet. It is a one part nutrient for growth, and a one part nutrient for blooming or flowering. There are different formulations for both soil and hydro, so you can use it for either. Botanicare also has micronutrient additives such as Liquid Karma and CalMag+ that you can use in addition to the one part system if you are looking for an extra boost in your crop.

I always tell customers that all of the nutrient lines work and work well, it all comes down to a personal preference. More experienced growers will base their nutrient decision based on NPK ratios or other ingredients. Product Spotlight: EZ Cloner

If you are thinking about getting into cloning your prized plants to replicate their growth time and time again, look no further than the EZ Clone. It is a simple aeroponic rooting system that uses a patented manifold to spray your cuttings constantly.
