HydroHarrys Newsletter February 2011We have very exciting news! First, our HydroHarrys store in Farmington Hills will be celebrating its 1st anniversary during the weekend of March 12th. Mark that date on your calendar as there will be lots of anniversary activities and many product discounts. Our other great news is that we will be opening a THIRD store in Walled Lake. We are still finalizing the details but you can expect it to be another perfect place to buy all the hydroponic and indoor gardening supplies that you need. Master Gardeners are now Master Brewers
HydroHarrys has recently started "brewing" our own Microbe Tea from Vermicrop Organics. Check our website for brewing dates and you can pick up a free sample. Hydroponics Will Save The WorldPhytofarm grow 100 acres of spinach on 1 acre of ground. Hydroponics is sufficiently practical that one supermarket has built a 10,000 sq ft vegetable garden. PhytoFarm in Dekalb, Illinois produces mainly lettuce and other garden vegetables in a hydroponics facility measuring 200 by 250 feet, at a rate of a ton of food per day, enough to completely feed 500 to 1000 people. Grow lights supply the "sunlight" needed by plants and is the key raw material in state-of-the-art hydroponics. Even at present electricity costs, PhytoFarm is profitable, and its food prices are affordable at ordinary American incomes. If PhytoFarm techniques were adopted worldwide it would be possible to feed 500 billion people on only 1% of today's existing farmland. Pretty cool. He took a year off to become a police officer but he quickly came back to work at Harry's when a perpetrator took his gun, handcuffed him to a light pole naked and stole his police cruiser. Joey celebrates Will Farrell's entire movie career and has seen every movie. He is an avid gardener who likes to can tomatoes with his Grandma, and for what Joey lacks in height he makes up in knowledge of Hydroponic gardening.
